the nokia 770 won’t work as a cell phone. it however runs debian, maemo, and nokia is pushing open development for it. it’ll be interesting to see how this will compete with the lifedrive that palm announced a little while ago. mobile burn has a preview of the 770 on their site, and i kind of agree with engadget that the 3 hour battery life that it supposedly has… does infact suck.
apparently there’s a big need to have all the data you’ve ever aquired instantly accessable at your fingertips. you could always just carry around 100gb portable drive with you, but it doesn’t have a screen for you to watch pron on.
i wish more companies would produce products like the oqo so prices for handheld personal convergence devices would drop.
