i am LOVING my niu boa thirtytwo boots. i had some older kevin jones northwave boots, but they were about a 1/2 size too big and when they packed out after a few seasons it was entirely way too painful to ride on them. riding with heel or toe lift just sucks and it really kills your legs after a few runs.

i purposely got the boots at a size 8 instead of a 8 1/2 because thirtytwo heat molds the liner to the shape of your foot. there are stockings and toe covers involved, make sure to go to the snowboard shop early so no one else is around while you’re wearing these damn things. you’ll have to stand in the boots for 10 minutes, so you might want to grab a drink or some grub before hand. you’ll probably get bonus points for buying the people at the store some grub too.

the boots are a little snug, but i don’t have to tighten the boa all the way or the liner all the way. the thirtytwos were also about $70 less than the northwaves even after adding the $15 to heat mold the liners.

if you have snowboarding pants that are 2 years old or older, you probably won’t have a boa flap in the ankle gaiter. just turn the lace hook around and that’s it. also if you like using a leash, erm not really sure what you should do about that. i’m not too sure about putting a ring on the boa wires or connecting the leash to the wires either. using a leash is annoying anyhow.
