wheeeee. i think the last time that speed was acceptable was about 10 years ago. you know, when you were glad to be way beyond 14.4 and only dreamed for those fat 56k pipes.
i could hop on my neighbor’s unencrypted wifi connection but seeing how i actually pay cox for their premier service i’d much rather be using my own f’n line. it’s not like i’ll ever see the 15mb pipe that they promise me, but atleast give me something better than isdn. wtf.
now i’m waiting for the tech to show up between 1-3 (it’s 1:56 for anyone interested in playing along). i wonder if i can expense a more dedicated line to my place. or if i can bribe some one at verizon to expedite fios installs to my area.

3:14, no cox no call. still really, really slow internet. the customer support dude said i wasn’t being rate limited. uh huh. wtf.

called cox after the guy didn’t show, they rescheduled for tues 1-3. arg. wtf. the support guy said i should call customer service because i’m entitled to a $20 credit because they didn’t show. joy.
