installing/updating wordpress with subversion

hrm. that’s kinda anti-climatic. at the very least someone could have created a widget or a plugin that will automatically download the latest wordpress tarball, svn commit/switch/update between various versions ( including the trunk ). actually it might be nice to be able to change wordpress versions on the fly. not sure how useful it’d be other than in a sandox environment, but honestly if i could just cron this to keep me at the latest stable version, i’d be fairly happy… well assuming the plugins kept upgrading this smoothly.
