< nvidia driver/compiz fix | cleaning up the daily del.icio.us >
booo. i was following the Newbs guide to Herald modification (byTylerC161) and it looks like i bricked my phone. right now it won’t go past the t-mobile splash screen. i guess i need to start all over again. < 30minutes later and i’m already playing around with the latest touch-it rom on my wing. woot!
how to upgrade your t-mobile wing to touch-it v2.3
- sync/backup your wing one final time.
delete the activesync partnership on your windows machine. - grab this [TylerC161 Wing Newbie Kit.zip]
- copy the rar to you storage card on the wing & unrar it
(as you install, the cabs will get deleted, might as well put a full copy on there.) - start going through the folders from the TylerC161 wing newbie kit.
remember to follow the Newbs guide to Herald modification - hold the camera button and hit the reset button on the side. continue to hold the camera button while the phone is booting.
- connect the wing to your pc.
- run the ruu.exe on your pc. follow the prompts.
- after the phone reboots, go through the screen alignment screen, skip the next 2 sections, then be prepared to hit the soft-reset button before the customizations get installed.
- after it reboots, connect via usb & copy over the aserg policies, cert_specs, and enablerapi cabs over to the wing and install them.
- put the phone in airplane mode (turn of the phone in the com settings)
- soft-reset the phone then run the 1_UPGRADE_ROM.bat script from your pc. ignore any errors then do a hard-resest after the cmd window tells you (hold both softkeys & hit the reset button to do a hard reset. continue to hold the softkeys while the phone boots. when prompted hit the green phone/connect button and cross your fingers.
- hopefully you see the touch-it 2.3 boot screen and have to re-align

- go play with the phone. touch-flo is fun!
