iogear usb vga

< wow. osnews gets an update | hummer hx concept >

i definantly need to add another monitor to my mac mini. i just came across tomshardware’s ces roundup (lots of cool new stuff), where they mention a new iogear usb to vga adapter: IOGEAR will be shipping adapters soon, initially supporting 1680×1050, with 1920×1200 following later in the year.

i only saw a $99 usb/vga adapter that does 1280×1024. (GUC2015V) can’t wait for the higher resolution ones to come out. there’s even a wireless version of the external vga planned.

update : found a usbtodvi that does 1600×1200 but it looks like it only supports windows. [ more info ]

Just for the record, mac drivers are in the works for the card we carry over at Sewell Direct. I know there’s a working beta, but it’s not slated for release for another 3-4 months.

    Thanks for the post.
