a friend was found dead in his apartment yesterday. details are few, and no one knows how he died. there’s gonna be a short memorial service at the orange county drop zone shortly after sunset. there’s also gonna be a party held in waldo’s memory on the 26th.

man. gonna miss you waldo. who the hell is gonna keep sage and will in line now?

building a fence sucks. having poison ivy after building a fence sucks even more. i didn’t get it too bad but it sounds like a friend did. lucky enough there’s some hydrocortisone in the medicine cabinet at work. it’s smaller than a ketchup packet but it seems to do the trick pretty well.

ps. don’t buy me one of these for christmas. they’re evil. i guess i understand why you can’t have a reverse on most augers but you think they would have figured out a less painful way of digging a post hole.

i’ve removed the timestamp info from the rants for the time being, and i also fixed the “previous rants” section below. there’s so much little stuff to do to this to get me to the point where i’m happy with it, i don’t even want to start thinking about rss or tags. then again i’m not treating this as a normal blog anyhow, so i guess there’s no real driving reason to implement either one of those.

i’m really going to have to sit down and rethink how i’m doing my database. it’s not easy to track changes and make sure that the entries stay in their proper order. right now if i update something it jumps to the top of the list. that isn’t that bad, but it would be nice to be able to tell when the entry was originally created and when it was updated.
