getting help with ubuntu

December 15th, 2007

here’s a few places to search when you’re having issues with ubuntu:

  1. official Ubuntu documentation
  2. community contributed documentation
  3. del.icio.us/ubuntu (popular,mine)
  4. bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu
  5. ubuntuforums.org
  6. lists.ubuntu.com
  7. ubuntuguide.org (gutsy,feisty)

for the most part, there are plenty of ways to find answers to any issues you might encounter. i’m still having some minor issues with filesystem/config differences between sysV and bsd but for the most part i rarely touch a command line to configure anything on my laptop. mostly it’s done through ubuntu’s gui applications. yes, i’ve gotten extremely lazy while using ubuntu. heh.
