check out this gears of war munny that emilio lopez created for a christmas present. epic games loved it so much they sent him a cease and desist letter. yeah, that’s right a fricken cease and desist letter! check out emilio’s site for some concept art and build up pics plus copies of the cease and desist letter. it was a really nice touch customizing the box too.

there are 35 custom munnies up for auction over at moda3. the current highest bid is up to $300 for kathie olivias’s munny. there are still a few up for auction for $50 (a steal!) and a few others are close behind the top bid. check out savehuck.com, if your not current on who huck is or why they’re trying to save him. moda3 is giving 100% of the proceeds straight to huck to use in his legal defense. if you bid you get a great custom munny and you can feel better about yourself for helping someone else out. the auction ends on the Feb 24th 11:00 est. if you’re a fan of star wars there’s even 2 munnies you want to check out ( here and here ).

a few of these were posted up on the kidrobot forums with work in progress shots. a lot of hard work went into these and i’m more impressed with their quality over the recent kidrobot making munny entries.

save huck!

kidrobot sent an email out to all of it’s forum members on the 11th that it would have a limited run ( only 400 ) of the frank kozik 10″ bondage labbit. $39.95 is a decent price to pay, you just had to call the san fran kidrobot store around 2:00 est and cross your fingers hoping you got through.

at 6:00 est the same day it was being sold through this exclusive member’s only sale, the labbit has already hit $149 on ebay.

i’m glad to see it’s selling well, but it kinda ticks me off that there are people who are obviously taking advantage of kidrobot’s attempt to hook the community up. on one hand i appreciate the fact that it’s supply and demand that can cause the price to sky rocket like that, on the other it sucks for the guy that could only afford it at $40 and not $200.
